Friction force of the car is directed in the opposite direction of the car?




 The frictional force exercises in opposite direction of movement and acts to prevent movement. 
Therefore the direction of the frictional force to act on a car is opposite of the traveling direction of the car, which is a mistake. 

The tire turns clockwise so that a car advances to the right. At the place where a tire contacts the ground, the tire works to the left. 
Therefore, the direction of the frictional force between the ground and the tire is to the right which is the same as the direction where the car advances.
