Earth Trivia : Why is seawater salt water?

Why is seawater salt water?

In the earth several billions of years ago, acid rain fell and the sea was made.
The original seawater was sour.
Acid seawater melted the rock on the ground of the earth and neutralized with the sodium included in the rock.

Then sodium chloride was made.
Current salty seawater was thereby created.
As for the salt, approximately 300 million tons a year is produced all over the world.
The salt made from seawater is 1/4 - 1/3 of all salt.

The others are made from halite and the salt lake other than the seawater.
As 3% of salt melts in seawater, we can get salt by removing remaining water of 97%.
