Earth Trivia : The cause of ocean current

The cause of an ocean current is heat from the sun and winds in the earth.

An ocean current is caused mainly by the heat from the sun and winds.
Because the water has a property to flow from the warm place through the cold place, the flow of seawater is caused that warm equatorial water is directed to the South Pole and the North Pole.
Strong winds such as the west winds and trade winds are blowing in the earth.
These strong winds move seawater as well.
The direction of ocean currents is decided with other causes such as the rotation of the earth and the topography of the land and the bottom of the sea.
