80% of plastic bags can be recovered to fuel.

Plastic bags are notoriously bad for the environment as they are made from petroleum.
However some scientists discovered that the bags can be converted into some pretty useful things.

For example, plastic bags can be used to create diesel fuel. 

As they are made out of fuel in the first place, they can be converted into natural gas, gasoline, engine/hydraulic oils 

and solvent called naphtha.
