Space Trivia : Collaboration of Venus and the Moon
The crescent moon passed to the north of Venus after sunset on Dec. 2 and 3 in 2016.
Through the rest of December 2016 and into January 2017, Venus will climb progressively higher in the sky and consequently will set later after sundown.
On Jan. 12, 2017 Venus will arrive at its greatest eastern elongation, or its greatest angular distance east of the sun.
